What Is Thrush?

Who Can Use Canesten Oral Thrush Tablets?

Do Not Use If You:

• Are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding, unless advised by a healthcare professional
• Are allergic to fluconazole or any of the other listed ingredients
• Have liver or kidney problems
• Are taking medications such as cisapride, terfenadine, pimozide, or certain antibiotics that interact with fluconazole
• Are under 16 or over 60 years old

Additional Cautions for Women

Do not use this product if you have:

• Irregular or abnormal vaginal bleeding
• Sores, ulcers, or blisters in the vaginal area
• Pain or difficulty urinating
• Fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhoea
• A foul-smelling discharge
• Lower abdominal pain
• These could indicate a more serious condition — speak to your doctor for a diagnosis.

Additional Cautions for Men

Do not take this capsule without medical advice if you:

• Have a sexual partner who does not have thrush
• Notice ulcers, sores, or blisters on the penis
• Have an unusual discharge or unpleasant odour
• Experience pain or difficulty passing urine

How to Take Canesten Oral Thrush Tablet

• Take 1 capsule as a single dose
• Swallow whole with water, with or without food
• One capsule is usually sufficient for treating a mild, uncomplicated case of thrush
• If symptoms persist after 7 days, consult your doctor or pharmacist
• You may also be advised to use a complementary cream or pessary to treat external symptoms

Canesten Oral Capsule Side Effects

While many people tolerate fluconazole well, some may experience side effects.

Common Side Effects:

• Headache
• Stomach discomfort or diarrhoea

• Dizziness, tingling or numbness

How to Store This Product
