Canesten 1% Clotrimazole Cream – Antifungal Treatment for Skin Infections

Canesten 1% Cream is an effective antifungal treatment used to relieve symptoms of fungal skin infections (e.g. see below). It contains clotrimazole 1%, a well-established antifungal agent that helps soothe itching, redness, and discomfort while targeting the root cause of infection.

This treatment is suitable for adults and children of all ages, and can be used on most areas of the skin.

What Is Canesten 1% Cream Used For?

Canesten 1% Cream provides targeted relief from a range of superficial fungal skin infections, including:

• Athlete’s foot (tinea pedis)
• Jock itch (tinea cruris)
• Ringworm (tinea corporis)
• Fungal sweat rash
• Candidal infections of the skin (e.g. under breasts, between skin folds)
• Irritation caused by thrush in external areas (e.g. vulva or penis)
• Fungal nappy rash (under medical supervision)

How Does Canesten Cream Work?

This cream contains:

• Clotrimazole 1% w/w – a broad-spectrum antifungal medication that works by destroying fungal cells and preventing them from multiplying.

Clotrimazole targets the fungus at its source, reducing symptoms such as:

• Itching
• Redness
• Cracking or scaling of the skin
• Burning or soreness

With consistent use, it helps to clear the infection and restore skin health.

Who Can Use Canesten 1% Cream?

Canesten 1% Cream is suitable for:

Do not use if you:

• Are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other listed ingredients in the cream

How to Use Canesten 1% Cream

1. Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly
2. Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected skin 2 to 3 times daily
3. Gently rub it in and wash hands after application
4. Continue treatment as directed on the product.

It is important to complete the full course, even if symptoms improve earlier, to prevent recurrence.
