About Airomir Autohaler

The Airomir Autohaler is a specially designed inhaler that provides quick and effective relief from asthma symptoms. Unlike traditional pump-style inhalers, the Autohaler simplifies taking your medicine, making it a handy tool for asthma management. This device is part of the ‘reliever’ category of inhalers, which helps ease sudden asthma attacks or flare-ups.

When uncontrolled, asthma can present as a cough, wheezing, and breathlessness during the day and/or night. You may also be unable to do your everyday activities, such as work or exercise. You can take an Asthma Control Test to check how well-controlled you are.

The Airomir Autohaler offers a simple, effective way to manage asthma symptoms. Complete an assessment form at our online asthma clinic and get your prescription from Click2Pharmacy, and you can receive it as soon as the next day.

What is Airomir Autohaler used for?

Airomir Autohaler Inhaler (Salbutamol 100mcg) is a standard inhaler to stop asthma and asthma symptoms. The active ingredient is a quick-acting medication called salbutamol. Airomir Autohaler Inhalers are designed to:

  • Open the breathing passage
  • Treat asthma and COPD.
  • Help relieve shortness of breath, chest tightness, wheezing and cough.

Who is Airomir Autohaler suitable for?

The Airomir Autohaler is suitable for a wide range of people dealing with asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It’s commonly prescribed for adults and children over the age of 6.

Autohalers like Airomir are recommended for those who have trouble using more complex inhalers.

You should avoid the Airomir Autohaler if you are allergic to salbutamol sulfate or any other ingredients in this medication. Salbutamol can cause heart complications when used by people with heart conditions such as heart disease, abnormal heart rhythms, and high blood pressure.

How does Airomir Autohaler work?

Airomir Autohalers contain Salamol, a bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles in the airways and increases the flow to the lungs. It helps to treat or prevent bronchospasm, or narrowing of the airways in the lungs, in people with asthma or COPD.

How to use Airomir Autohaler

  1. Make sure you stand or sit upright.
  2. Remove the mouthpiece cover and ensure it is clean before using it.
  3. Shake the inhaler several times to ensure the liquid is mixed and you get the right amount of salbutamol with each puff.
  4. Hold the inhaler upright. Your thumb should be at the base of the inhaler, just below the mouthpiece.
  5. Breathe out first.
  6. Then, close your lips around the inhaler’s mouthpiece, making a tight seal with your lips. The mouthpiece should rest between your teeth but do not bite the mouthpiece.
  7. Begin breathing in and press down on the top of the inhaler. Continue breathing steadily and deeply as the inhaler releases a puff of medicine, then hold your breath for as long as you can comfortably do so to allow the medication to get into your airways.
  8. If you have been advised to take two puffs, wait about 30 seconds before repeating the process.

The Airomir Autohaler typically contains 200 doses. Keep track so you know when to get a new one.
