What is Colgate Duraphat 5000 Toothpaste used for?

Colgate Duraphat 5000ppm Toothpaste is used for reversing and preventing tooth decay and dental caries, especially if you are prone to dental issues due to smoking, drinking and eating lots of sugary snacks. This high fluoride toothpaste is suitable for adults and adolescents aged 16 years and over and is only available on prescription.

How to Use Colgate Duraphat 5000 Toothpaste

You should use Colgate Duraphat 5000ppm in place of your regular toothpaste, ensuring you brush your teeth three times per day, ideally after every meal.

We recommend following these guidelines for the best results in your treatment.

• Use approximately 2cms of high fluoride toothpaste. This is equivalent to about 3 to 5 milligrams of fluoride.
• Brush your teeth in a vertical motion, starting from the gum and moving towards the tip of the tooth.
• After brushing, spit out any excess foam. Do not swallow the toothpaste.
• Brush your teeth for approximately three minutes.
